Bleckmann is a European market leader located in Belgium, with a presence in Asia and the USA, which provides Global Supply Chain Solutions (SCM) to some of the best-known and respected brands in the fashion and lifestyle industries.

When Bleckmann approached Apoyar they were looking to create a synchronised returns system that would help manage returns more effectively, gather data and ultimately help reduce waste. From a user perspective the process had to be simple, and from a retailer perspective it was an opportunity to be able to monitor reasons driving the returns.

Apoyar managed the project through business analysis, functional specification and a software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodology. We created a synchronised Return Logistics system that would help manage clients’ returns more effectively, with returns labels and parcel delivery options back to the warehouse. Apoyar used a range of technologies to develop the Return Logistics system including; for frontend PHP, Codeigniter framework, JQuery and Ajax, for backend .NET framework, ASP.NET and Web API, and for database MySQL and ORACLE and CRON jobs .NET framework to build Windows Services.

The system we have developed with Bleckmann has changed the service they are able to provide to their clients. They were a remarkable team to work with, always putting the end client requirements at the forefront of the development agenda.
