Although the merchandising system generates purchase orders to restock items at the end of the business day, the high volume of daily transactions occasionally results in discrepancies between purchase orders and supplier invoices. To streamline the Accounts Payable department and minimize overheads, there's a need for an automated invoice and purchase order matching application.
  • IT Asset Management Gap in Digital Transformation: With tens of thousands of IT assets and an ongoing Digital Transformation Project, Cineworld lacked an efficient Configuration Management Database (CMDB) to oversee all IT assets, including hardware, software, subscription services, and virtual machine registrations.
  • Critical Cinema Management System (CMS) Availability Issue: Cineworld relies heavily on its Cinema Management System (CMS) to manage various aspects of its business operations, including seat sales, point of sale transactions, web ticket sales, and environmental controls. The company has a large number of distributed instances of the CMS, with high availability being essential. However, the existing system lacks the capability to remotely monitor critical components through an API, posing a challenge to effective monitoring and maintenance.

Invoices are automatically approved for payment when they fall within specific predefined thresholds. These thresholds are customizable, aligning with various business controls and criteria.
  • Leading A1 CMDB Solution: Apoyar delivered an advanced Configuration Management Database (CMDB) application with powerful search capabilities accessible on both web and iOS platforms. This comprehensive solution provides robust configuration management support, catering to a wide range of IT Service Management (ITSM) activities.
  • Custom Web Services and API Development: Apoyar crafted custom web services and APIs that can be seamlessly integrated into a remote monitoring platform. These web services are designed using ASP.Net, in harmony with the ASP.Net-based application. The monitoring is executed through Nagios Enterprise, employing custom scripts to establish connections with individual sites and display real-time status on large screens within the company's Network Operations Center (NOC).

  • Streamlined Operations and Faster Invoice Processing: Cineworld achieved a remarkable reduction in the dedicated workforce for Purchase Order Supplier Invoice matching and exceptions, decreasing from 6 full-time employees to a single full-time equivalent. This enhancement not only freed up staff for more diverse and challenging tasks but also significantly expedited the invoice processing, with approvals and payment authorizations taking mere minutes instead of days.
  • Enhanced Inventory Management and Operational Efficiency: Cineworld's planned upgrades have become more streamlined due to the constant awareness of their target inventory. Real-time availability and performance monitoring have been successfully integrated, resulting in automated replenishment of unserviceable assets, simplified capacity planning, comprehensive asset security processes, and an overall increase in serviceability.
